About Me

Who am I? I'm a technology geek who just made a website about NFC. I ride my bike with my brothers every Saturday, I enjoy bowling, eating, watching TV, playing video games, sleeping and most importantly, Near Field Communication. I was born in sunny Australia 27 years ago. I don't remember much of anything because I moved here with my parents to Chicago when I was 5. As I was growing up personal computers were invented and cellphones were invented and everytime I heard about a new technology or device I absolutely had to have it. I was one of the first one to have a cell phone out of pretty much everyone I knew at school. Who knew that one day I'd be using NFC to use my phone as my wallet.

I drive a Ford Bronco kind of like the one OJ had during that iconic car chase. I love it, I put a 3 inch lift on it and me and my cousins go offroading on their property a few times a year. Almost not worth it because the repairs associated it are enough to suck the fun out of any hobby no matter how exhilarating.

I always wanted to get into criminal justice to be a cop or a detective but as time goes on and you finally get to college you don't really know if that's what you want anymore. I ended up going for liberal arts until I graduated and now I'm going for my MBA. I feel it's still important to get into college and get an education even if you don't know what you want to do when you “grow up”. The lessons, determination, drive and even common sense you learn during school is almost more important than the random facts you learn here and there. College for me has been a way to turn myself into a professional adult.

Another big part of my life is video games. I own the Original 60 gb playstation 3 that is playstation 2 compatible which is what I play all my games on. I am one of those Sony fanboys that absolutely refuses to get or even touch an Xbox 360. Currently I am playing Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception which is totally epic but it is entirely overshadowed by the god which is Skyrim. I feel bad for uncharted 3 which would likely win game of the year had it not been for skyrim which is better than any other games right now in every way possible.

I decided to add this little paragraph down here to talk to you about why NFC is so important to me. As soon as I realized this technology existed I was sold. Just waiting for it to be as popular as it is in other regions of the world is brutal. I have my “super advanced” cell phone and I'm ready to use NFC for everything. It will be my personal goal to convince everyone I know to hop on board with near-field communication as I am!!!
